Harley Street Mews - home from home
Star rating 5/5 Guest from South East Date of stay March 2012

This was the perfect apartment for our weekend stay in bath - well decorated, clean and everything you could need including dishwasher, wifi and washing machine. We felt right at home straight away.

The apartment is in a very central location and parking on the road outside was easy. There is no need to drive around as everything is in walking distance.

We will be back!

The apartment was comfortable, spaceous and had everything we needed. Given it is hard to park in central Bath it was important to us that most places we needed to get to (we were there for the literature festival) were within reasonable walking distance.

We had a 3 night stay at Harley St Mews and found the apt clean, comfortable and well equipped, ideally located for an easy walk into town.

Christmas shopping
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Broom, Near Biggleswade Date of stay December 2011

This is the third year in a row we have stayed at Harley Street Mews. Not normally creatures of habit, we have have chosen to return to Paul's flat as it provides everything you could require to make for a very comfortable and well located stay.

Spotlessly clean and inviting and very well equiped. A no brainer for us. Thanks for making it available. Will return in 2013.

Great apartment in a lovely city
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Ottawa, Canada Date of stay September 2011

We really enjoyed this apartment. It was very private - there is only one shared wall and we never heard noise through it. It had absolutely everything. The WiFi worked right away. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with dishes, etc. It even had tea, sugar, salt, olive oil. The layout is roomy and bright.

The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom shower had good volume (for Britain) but does have that odd sheet of glass to keep the water off the floor rather than a shower curtain (which would keep the heat in the tub). Fortunately, the heating system works very well so you are not showering in a freezing room.

It is very, very close to the Royal Crescent and the Circus and a nice 15 minute walk to the Abbey and Baths. There is a co-op grocery store about 1 minute away and an excellent Waitrose about 10 minutes away. A restaurant called "The Circus" is between the Royal Crescent and the Circus and is excellent.

We found Bath to be a great tourist destination and really enjoyed the Roman Baths, the Fashion Museum, the Bath Abbey and other smaller destinations. We also used it as a base to visit Salisbury (by train, very inexpensive), Wells, Glastonbury and Stourhead Gardens (by rental car). The parking pass provided by the apartment was very useful as we saw others getting parking tickets. The only thing to note is that if you are arriving after dark you need some form of light since the key code entry is impossible to see in the dark. The apartment provides a flashlight which you should take with you for evening returns.

Perfect apartment

Me and colleagues stayed here for a couple of days as we were in the area with work. The apartment was to a high standard and we will definitely book this place again.

Great place to stay
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Edinburgh Date of stay November 2011

A lovely place to stay - really comfortable and in a really quiet street. Great location - near the centre of the city and a stone's throw from the wonderful Royal Circus and Royal Crescent. I would be happy to recommend Harley Street Mews and would book it again if I return to Bath.

Lovely comfortable apartment close to Bath centre
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Area Date of stay August 2011

The apartment was clean and comfortable and a good size for myself, partner and 16 year old daughter. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable and warm. We had a minor problem with the hot water on arrival, but we phoned the number left for us and had a speedy response; the problem was sorted.

The parking pass for the car was great and the walking distance to the centre of Bath is about ten minutes, so everything was easy to get to.

The only thing it might be worth warning people about is the steep road that the apartment is on, and the flight of stairs up to the apartment.

Comfortable, great location and affordable
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Denmark Date of stay July 2011

We had a great time in this lovely apartment. It was clean and spacious - deffinatly big enough for the two of us - within walkin distance of everything in Bath and a great platform from which to explore and enjoy the city.

The decor is tasteful but not so hotel-like that you can't feel at home. The bed was comfortable and we had no problem getting our sleep (little noise). The kitchen had everything we needed and the dishwasher meant we didnt have to spend our vacation doing dishes. We never turned on the TV since Bath afforded plenty of entertainment so I have nothing to say pro on con, other than it's there if you have a teenager who is addicted to it. The free wireless internet access was great for planning our days in wonderful Bath and for writing emails, keeping in touch with those at home.

The appartment has deservedly recieved 4 stars (Excellent standard throughout) from Visit Britain but we give it 5 stars! Mostly because of Paul Newson, who rents this appartment out. He has been nothing but helpful and nice to us, answering questions we emailed him in a timely manner and doing everything in order for our stay to be as effortlessly comfortable as possible.

Additionally, we were told not to worry about cleaning when leaving the appartment. We of course made sure we didn't leave it in a mess, but not having to worry about having done a good enough job or wether we will get our deposit back is such a relief -simply because there is no deposit.

You really feel like a priviliged and valued guest in Harley Street Mews Pauls philosophy of trusting the people who pend their holiday there and not asking for a deposit means you feel at home, and treat things with the same care as you would your own. We are grateful for this lovely and affordable place that was our home in Bath for a week. Thank you Paul! We will recommend the appartment to all our family and anyone who wish to have a pleasant and stress-free stay in Bath. Thanks and best regards from Jonathan and Kirstine (aged 31 and 28)

We had a wonderful stay in this delightful apartment which was warm and welcoming and in walking distance to all Bath amenities. Would not hesitate in recommending this apartment to anyone thinking of staying in Bath.

Excellent
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Plymouth Date of stay May 2011

Textound property on Bath Tourist Information website at short notice- it looked and sounded great and exceeded our expectations when we arrived. Close to the centre and a co-op at the end of the road made it easy to get essentials.

Thank you for a lovely stay

Fantastic - Will stay again!
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Canada Date of stay June 2011

Easy to get to, great location, perfect size for 4 people - just as advertised. We had a great time and the owner clearly took care of the place - it was clean, nicely decorated, and very well stocked.

There was tons to do in Bath, and it was all just a short walk away. No car needed, a quick taxi ride (only needed if you have lots of luggage) was all it took to get to the train station. Everything else was easily within walking distance, including tons of restaurants, attractions, and sights.

Very highly recommended, we'll definitely stay again if it's available the next time we're in Bath.

Fantastic apartment
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Perth, Australia Date of stay July 2011

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Harley Street apartment and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. It was in a great location, about a 10 minute walk into town and also only about a 5 minute walk to join the Hop On Hop Off bus route. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. If ever in Bath again we would definately know where we wanted to stay.

Holiday in Bath
Star rating 4/5 Guest from Trieste, Italy Date of stay June 2011

We spent a very good time in Bath and visiting the surroundings. The location of this flat is very good and convenient to reach a lot of the main important places in town. The local public transport means are effcient and you can reach the train station in about 15 minutes walk.

During the 2 weeks the sun come out very rarely but this is the englisjh weather and we really enjoied our stay and hope to be able to go back again. We wish everybody a happy summer !

2nd Visit
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Derbyshire Date of stay June 2011

This was our 2nd visit to this apartment and would go back yet again. Fantastic location, park the car and leave it there, parking permit a great advantage as lots of Traffic wardens around. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Last time was February 2010 and as it was winter was very quiet. Noisier this time as the warm weather and half term break brought the partying students out but didnt bother us that much. Visit Sally Lunn's it's fantastic, as is Tilly's restaurant. The walk along the canal is good too and you can do all these from the apartment, no need to take the car.

Extraordinary Holiday Home in Bath
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Hong Kong Date of stay February 2011

We had a 4-night stay in Harley Mews in late February and have spent the most comfortable stay we have ever experienced in UK (we visit UK regularly and often stay in different holiday homes). The apartment comes with perfectly clean and well maintained amenities and lovely decorations which clearly indicate that this holiday house is run by heart. It is located in a quiet side street which is easily accessible to all parts of Bath. We did not encounter any problem in parking the car outside the apartment and it was a bonus as we had an elderly along. Bath is a pretty and relaxed place. We will definitely be back and for sure, we will stay in Harley Mews again because it is really a home away from home.

Excellent facility
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Bolton, Lancashire Date of stay February 2011

The apartment is very well located for Bath attractions, just a few minutes walk from the city centre. It is equipped well above the usual standard, extremely clean and comfortable. A car is not needed in the city but the provision of the on-street parking permit was a very useful extra. The street is generally quiet. Lots of good places to eat, some of then quite nearby. Thermae Spa twilight session was very enjoyable; the Roman Baths display has been effectively updated and there is plenty of interest elsewhere, especially if you like museums and buildings. Away from Bath Lacock Abbey (near Chippenham) and the SS Great Britain (Bristol) are well worth a trip out.

An excellent apartment
Star rating 5/5 Guest from birmingham Date of stay February 2011

we came to Bath on a girlie weekend, and was pleasantly surprised how wonderful the apartment was. It was filled with everything you would need and so homely, clean and comfortable, it was great to have free internet access too. We did not use the car at all as everything was in walking distance. It was great to have a parking permit so able to park right outside the front door! overall an excellent stay for the weekend we would reccommend this lovely apartment to anyone. we would reccommend the twilight package at the therma spa and also hansel and gretels strudel bar just round the corner great coffees and hot chocolates!. thank you.

one of the best
Star rating 5/5 Guest from West Sussex Date of stay November 2010

We booked this apartment in Bath so that we could visit the Christmas markets, buy all our Christmas presents and enjoy the wonderful restaurants. We had a great time as Bath is a wonderful place, it snowed whilst we were there and mostly because we had what we considered to be a great apartment.

The apartment surpassed its description and proved to be an excellent find in a central location. We all felt that we would want to return either for a weekend or perhaps for a longer visit in the summer.

Great location.
Star rating 5/5 Guest from San Diego, CA Date of stay September 2010

We spent 10 days in the apartment during the Jane Austen Festival. The location was perfect for walking around Bath and the apartment was confortable. Internet worked great which is a big plus.

Great Flat, Perfect Location!
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Pembury, Kent Date of stay September 2009

We stayed in the flat for 2 nights during the recent bank holiday and it was very convenient to everything Bath has to offer. A very short walk to the Circus and you're in the middle of everything. As it is self catering also very convenient to have a food shop at the bottom of the hill. We also had our 2-year old with us and the second bedroom was perfect for her. All in all a terrific experience. We will definitely recommend it.

Convenient sightseeing
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Germany Date of stay July 2010

We are a family with two sons and we spent wonderful four days in this great apartment. The place was clean and well-equipped, everything was in walking distance so we didn´t use the car at all. This little supermarket is right around the corner - and we loved the breakfast bread, almost as good as our German "Brötchen".

Bath is a beautiful city with a great history. One day we took the train to London and spent a great day there. We´ll be back one day.

Great place to stay.
Star rating 5/5 Guest from South Wales, UK Date of stay May 2010

The apartment is really comfortable. It is as described on the website. It's really clean and airy; the kitchen is well equipped. I'd recommend it friends and family. The location is ideal. Only about a 5 minute stroll to the Royal Crescent and 10mins to the city centre (that's strolling not racing). The parking permit is a bonus. The owners were really helpful and I'd definatley consider staying at one of their other properties.

one tip: Book directly with Paul. (if I had booked with Visit Bath, it would have cost me an extra £20!) Worth going to: Therme Bath Spa. Really relaxing. Suitable for guys as well as girls!

Excellent Apartment, Great Location
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Surrey, UK Date of stay January 2010

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Harley St Mews for three nights, and we couldn't have picked a nicer apartment. Very Clean, very well equipped and very spacious, it definately felt like a home from home. The location is great, it is on top of a small hill but as you walk down into town you can pass through some of the historical sites that Bath has to offer such as the Royal Park, Royal Cresent and The Circus, and if you do not fancy walking back up the hill a local taxi costs about £4. There are a wide selection of bars and restaurants within a 10 min walk and the Malbrough Tavern Pub which is recommended in the welcome pack has fantastic food and a nice relaxed atmosphere. If we visited Bath again I would definately book to stay at the Harley St Mews again and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this apartment to family and friends.

Lovely apartment and location...
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Rotherham Date of stay December 2009

After a hectic lead-up to Christmas, we arrived at this apartment on Boxing Day for a post-Christmas break. This is a very well-appointed apartment in a convenient location just ten minutes' walk from the centre of the city. Like other guests have also commented, we parked the car upon arrival and did not use it again - barring one visit to friends who live on the outskirts of Bath - all week. Being rather car-dependent at home, we enjoyed the fact that the considerable delights of Bath are within easy walking access. There are many historical sights to interest the visitor, and the shopping is excellent, with independent stores well represented. The city is a photographer's dream. If you fancy a day visit further afield, Bristol is a mere 12-minute train journey away. All in all, an excellent week in a warm and comfortable apartment where there was everything we needed, plus much more. We should not hesitate to return. [It is worthy of note that although this is an "apartment", there is in fact no-one living above, and no-one below - so there is no potential noise nuisance at all.]

Perfekter Stadturlaub
Star rating 5/5 Guest from Köln, NRW, Deutschland Date of stay July 2010
